SAINT EUSTACHIO

Commissioned by the parish of Tocco da Casauria, the work was created to restore the figure of Saint Eustace, lost after an earthquake in the early 20th century and originally placed atop the main church.

The sculptor's first sacred work reconstructs the image using few available sources.

The saint, a Roman general who converted to Christianity after a vision, is a symbol of faith and radical choice.

The sculpture thus becomes a rediscovered memory and a continuity with the history of the place.
