Lettomanoppello (PE)
GREAT THISTLE
2010

Created during the Ten Days in Stone event in just five days, the work depicts a mountain thistle, born during a period of intense heat, with an ironic reference to "hot" and "thistle."
The flower emerges from the block like an explosion: a clean, regular central hemisphere opens into radial elements, while angular, irregular leaves create visual tension.
The contrast between hard and soft forms illustrates the connection between sun and nature, between attraction and defense, between beauty and distance.
